Pasta Bolognese

    Heat the olive oil in a large pot over medium heat and sauté the onion, carrots, and garlic until softened.

    Add the beef, salt, and pepper and cook until browned and crumbled.

    Add the milk and simmer until it has mostly evaporated, about 10 minutes.

    Add the crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, bay leaf, and oregano.

    Bring to a boil, then simmer on low for at least 30 minutes, and up to 2 hours for deeper flavor.

    Cook the pasta separately and serve it with the bolognese sauce.
