One-Pan P'titim and Chicken

Chicken cubes and Israeli couscous baked together with tomato paste and date syrup.

    Preheat the oven to 420°F.

    Place the ptitim in an oven-safe pan and add the chicken cubes.

    Season with salt, turmeric, sumac, garlic powder, tomato paste, date syrup, and olive oil.

    Mix well and spread everything evenly.

    Pour in the boiling water.

    Cover with wet parchment paper and then foil.

    Bake for 35 minutes.

    Remove the foil and parchment and bake uncovered for 15 more minutes.
