Chicken Drumsticks and Rice
Drumsticks simmered with carrots, then finished with rice in the same pot.

Fry the onion in a pot, then add the chicken drumsticks and sear them on both sides until lightly browned.

Add the carrots and continue frying with the chicken.

Add the water, then season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.

Bring to a boil, reduce the heat, and simmer for 45 minutes.

Remove the drumsticks and set them aside.

Soak the rice in boiling water for 30 minutes, then rinse and drain it.

Add the rice to the pot, adjust seasoning if needed, bring to a boil, then lower the heat and cook for exactly 20 minutes.
